Born and raised in Turkiye, where I have witnessed countless projects striving for a better world for each individual in Mesopotamia. As a young woman driven by purpose, it brings me immense joy to be a part of something greater than myself.

With a master’s degree in Middle East studies, specializing in the socio-economic effects of the climate crisis in the Middle East, I have delved into the intricate complexities of our region. My studies have shed light on the injustices faced by women, particularly when it comes to financial freedom and climate change.

Through my journey, I have had the privilege of working with various non-governmental organizations, where I encountered brave women fighting to make ends meet in the face of climate challenges. It was these experiences that ignited a deep conviction within me – that climate change is not merely an environmental issue, but a fundamental women’s rights issue.

Armed with my knowledge in the culture, and a determination to drive change, I embarked on a path where sustainable fashion became my chosen medium. I realized that fashion can be a powerful vehicle for transforming lives and communities, and it is through this lens that I became a project manager, not a classical fashion person.

At the tender age of 27, I am fueled by a passion to make a difference and contribute to a more just and equitable world. My heart and each hal:hab advocate’s heart, yearns to empower women and champion their rights in the face of climate adversity. It is my belief that every woman deserves financial independence, the freedom to thrive, and the opportunity to shape her own destiny.

Through our work with hal:hab, we aim to create meaningful change by combining academic knowledge, practical experience, and unwavering determination.
